Orfila Vineyard, in Escondido (North County) offers incredible wedding packages with breathtaking views. It's the perfect place to have a wedding & I was so thrilled to cater a wedding there this past weekend. The weather was perfect, with a light & cool breeze & beautiful sunset. The bride and groom chose to have a mini cupcake display along with a top tier cake for the cake cutting ceremony. They chose four amazing and unique flavors & asked me to create a little "robot" cake topper for them. The cake flavor they chose was Morning Glory-a lemon, blueberry, & ricotta cheese cake. It is the perfect Summertime flavor! The display looked amazing & the wedding was a success!
Fresh bluberries, simmered in a sugar syrup then mascerated in
the sugar syrup for several hours at room temperature until
tender and deep in purple color
Plump lemons, perfect for baking!
I LOVE the scent of fresh lemon zest!
Juicy, D'Anjou and Bosc Pears ready to be peeled, chopped,
pureed, and baked into White Chocolate Pear cupcakes!
Here they are! One of our TOP fruity flavors! The frosting is a
white chocolate, cream cheese & pear frosting with
pieces of toffee mixed in...so delish!
One of my favorite flavors and always a hit!
Creamy, light, yet full of flavor! These lemon, bluberry,
and ricotta cheese cupcakes are sure to please anyone's palate:)
This cupcake truly tastes like the classic drink! I have worked on
this flavor for quite awhile, trying to master it & finally found the
perfect blend of ingredients. It is truly amazing!
And here are the robots! Aren't they just adorable?! The photo that
the bride & groom had initially sent me had the robots in white. The couple asked
me to make them in silver and I even added a couple different touches
of my own! I embellished the heart of one of the robots in silver edible
dragees to distinguish between the female & male robot. I also criss-crossed
the power cords of the headphones, so that they appeared as though
they were listening to each other's hearts! You know...the music of the heart;)
TA-DAHHH! The gorgeous cupcake & cake display! This tower
looked beautiful at this venue, especially under the large, white tent with the view
of the mountains in the back. I am hoping to obtain some professional
photos of the display so you can actually see the spectacular mountainous view:)
The day after the wedding, I filled a couple different orders. One of them was for an
SDSU graduate. The order was for French Toast Cupcakes, Cookies N Cream, and Aloha-
ALL really great choices. I was told that the Cookies N Cream cupcakes were gone quickly!
Yes, I know it says SUSD below. I caught that a bit too late. I ended up switching the
placement of the cupcakes but after the picture was taken, lol!:)
The order below was for a 27th birthday. The flavors were Raspberry
Champagne and French Toast. I customized a few of the cupcakes
in purple (the birthday girl's favorite color) and added some
girly touches to the mix!
This butterfly cupcake was one of my favs:) Adorable don't you think?!
Well everyone, I better run. I need to get started on another wedding order for this weekend! Thank you for stopping by and check back soon:)
XO
Tara
The raspberry champagne and french toast birthday cupcakes were an absolute hit! They were beautiful and delicious! All of these are really a work of art. I want to throw another party just so I can have your cupcakes there!
